Mining roof bolts

Mining roof bolts are critical components to reinforce and stabilize the roofs of underground mine tunnels. Their primary purpose is to prevent the roof's collapse, ensuring the miners' safety and the mining operation's integrity.

Mining roof bolts sometimes are made of 19 wire strands. The 19-wire strand we produced could be Warrington type. This is a multi-wire contact structure prestressed steel strand, characterized by 19 steel wires that make up the steel strand,

One central steel wire, six equal diameter inner steel wires, six equal diameter outer thick steel wires, and six equal diameter outer fine steel wires

The volume fraction of sorbite of 82B raw wire rod is more than 85%, and the non-metallic inclusion grade is less than 2.0. There are no high magnification microstructure defects such as reticular structure and martensite.

The manufacturing standard could be China's national standard GB/T5224 and Japan's Industry Standard JIS G3536.

Types of 19 Wires Strand Mining Roof Bolts

3. Anchoring:

    ● Depending on the bolt type, it may be mechanically anchored, resin-grouted, or expanded to secure it in place.

4. Tensioning:

    ● Some bolts require tensioning to ensure they are tightly secured. This can be done manually or using hydraulic equipment.
