The process of single steel wire passing through the zinc bath is called hot-dip galvanizing, and the galvanized steel strand is twisted by 7 hot-dip galvanized steel wires. The adhesion of zinc layer is checked according to the wrapping test of the galvanized steel wire before twisting or the central steel wire of the finished galvanized steel strand. After 6 turns of winding, the zinc layer of the spiral ring shall not peel off.
Galvanized PC strand is made of multiple steel wires (commonly 3, 7, or 19 wires) that are twisted together to form a single, high-strength strand, ensuring strong load-bearing capacity.

The deflection tensile coefficient of galvanized steel strand normally used (not for bridge cable system) shall not be greater than 28%.
The deflection tensile coefficient of galvanized steel strand for bridge cable system shall be no more than 20%.
The fatigue test of galvanized steel strand in general applications (not for bridge cable system) , steel strand shall not break after being subjected to 2 million times of load.
The galvanized steel strand shall have a continuous zinc layer surface, free of local dezincification, iron exposure and other defects.
