Cut-To-Length Pc Wire is used to make the steel bars in the tension zone of prestressed concrete components. It is widely used in civil engineering fields such as buildings, bridges, and railways. By applying prestress in concrete components, the crack resistance, bearing capacity and durability of the components can be improved.

ADVANTAGES

Cut-To-Length Pc Wire is made of high-quality high-carbon steel hot-rolled wire rod through heat treatment and cold processing, such as lead dissolution quenching first, then cold drawing, and after cold drawing, it may also go through straightening and tempering, stabilization treatment and other processes to obtain good performance, and finally cut to a fixed length according to the use requirements.

Raw material preparation: High-quality high-carbon steel hot-rolled wire rod is used, and the carbon content of steel is required, usually 0.65% - 0.85%, and the sulfur and phosphorus content is less than 0.035%.

Surface treatment: Common surface treatment methods include galvanizing, hot-dip galvanizing and copper plating to improve its bonding performance with concrete. Notching can also be performed to improve the bonding performance with concrete.

Heat treatment: Lead dissolution quenching is performed before drawing to transform the metallographic structure into sorbite structure. Cold-drawn steel wire can be straightened and tempered to eliminate internal stress. Cold-drawn steel wire is stabilized to reduce the stress relaxation rate.

SPECIFICATIONS

The specifications of Cut-To-Length Pc Wire are mainly divided by diameter. The common ones are 4.0, 5.0, 7.0, and 9.0 mm:

- 4.0 mm: commonly used for some components with relatively low prestressing requirements and small structural dimensions, such as small prestressed concrete slabs.

- 5.0 mm: widely used and can be used for general prestressed concrete beams and slab structures, and can meet certain bearing capacity and crack resistance requirements.

- 7.0mm: Suitable for large structures with high prestress requirements, such as prestressed beams of large bridges, etc., which can provide a large amount of prestress.

- 9.0mm: Commonly used in large hydraulic structures, giant frames of high-rise buildings and other structures with extremely high prestress requirements. Because of its large diameter, it can withstand greater tension.
