Cable-Stayed Bridge System

Advantages of cable-stayed bridges:

• Rapid opening: The construction time of cable-stayed bridges is only 1/3 to 1/4 of that of ordinary bridges, with a short construction period and high construction safety, which can quickly and efficiently erect bridges.

• Cost saving: The overall construction cost of cable-stayed bridges is only about half of that of reinforced concrete bridges, which not only saves costs in foundation and support, but also greatly reduces costs in installation and maintenance.

• Beautiful appearance: Compared with ordinary bridges, the main body of cable-stayed bridges has a beautiful, smooth, and spacious appearance. The elliptical bridge body can blend in with the environment and has higher safety.

• Large span capability: Cable stayed bridges are the most common type of large-span bridges.

• Self anchored system: The horizontal force of the inclined cable is borne by the beam.

• Simplified construction operation: The construction operation of cable-stayed bridges is relatively simple.

There are two types of steel strand cable that our company produces: 

One is the ordinary parallel steel strand cable; the other is the parallel steel strand cable that can realize cable force monitoring, that is, in the parallel steel strand cable anchor, three holes are selected to install magnetic flux sensors for measuring the tension of a single steel strand, and the supporting measuring instruments form an intelligent steel strand cable system. 

Features:

• The steel strands can be: 

        a. 2400Mpa strength Φ15.2mm diameter, 1860MPa strength Φ21.6mm diameter, 1×7 wire structure ordinary steel strands, galvanized steel strands, single-filament spray epoxy steel strands, epoxy-filled steel strands. 

        b. 1860MPa strength, 1×19 wire structure Φ21.8mm, Φ28.6mm large diameter steel strands;

• The cable body has multi-layer dielectric protection, which greatly improves the corrosion resistance of the cable components of the inclined cable, and can also replace a single steel strand;

• Install tensioning and anchoring one by one, which is simple and convenient to operate, without the need to accurately cut the steel strands and remove the epoxy coating;

• It can tension a single steel strand and adjust the tension of the entire bundle of steel strands through the support tube and nut. The cable structure can be pre-equipped with sensors, and each steel strand can be tested at any time during the construction and operation of the cable force;

• Excellent static load anchoring performance and fatigue resistance: the upper limit of stress is 0.45fptk, the fatigue stress amplitude is 250MPa, and the wire breakage rate of the cable specimen is less than 2% after 2 million stress bending cycles;

• Reliable low-stress anchoring performance: the low use stress is 0.05fptk, and the clip will not slip or loosen;

• The cable anchor has an excellent waterproof leakage structure and reliable sealing performance;

• The steel strand cable does not need to be prefabricated, and the components of the cable can be transported separately to avoid the inconvenience of transporting large components.
